'I never realised how much we took for granted what a great sleeper our first born was, so when it came to our second child being a non-sleeper, we were not prepared for how much of a struggle it would be.

'We contacted Lauren to support with sleep advice for our 2yr old. We didn't want to use the 'cry-it-out' method and felt strongly aligned with Lauren's gentle and responsive approach.

'I can't recommend Lauren at Ready, Steady, Sleep highly enough!
Our daughter was a pretty good sleeper until around the six month mark. After that, she became difficult to settle, waking up as soon as we'd put her down in her cot or soon after.
Then our little human alarm would sound several times in the early hours. We would go in to soothe her and once we'd settle back to sleep ourselves it was quickly time again for more crying.
Needless to say, as first-time parents, we struggled. The lack-of-sleep took it's toll on my wife and I both physically and mentally so we can only imagine how our daughter felt herself.

'My husband and I were recommended Lauren though a mummy's Facebook group and we are so lucky we found her.
At the time we were desperate to sort our son's sleep.
He was 17 months old, unable to nap independently and putting him down at night time was becoming a battle that we very rarely won. 'I told myself after the nightmare I went through with DS1, that I would not overthink or worry or go down online rabbit holes with DS2 if he didn't sleep.
However, when faced with the reality of a second bad sleeper, I found myself once again going the same way. 'When we first started working with you we were rocking our little boy to sleep. Which is all well and good until you are rocking a 16 month old for up to an hour, who is heavy and clearly tired but won’t go to sleep.
Our backs and arms were paying the price and our little boy wasn’t settling to sleep easily which was difficult for all.
With your gentle guidance our little boy is now in his own room, in his own cot. No rocking to sleep, a nice bedtime routine for all of us, he falls asleep on his own in his cot.

Before coming to Lauren we were really struggling to get our 2 year old to sleep. Would sometimes take 2-3 hours with multiple wakes in the night. First meet with Lauren was lovely and reassuring.
