Parent testimonials....

Sam, parent to 2YO, Ella: Separation anxiety

'We contacted Lauren for help after hearing all good things with the hope of improving our 2 year old girls sleep (and our sleep!)

We knew it wouldn’t be easy as our girl has separation anxiety. We had previously had help from another sleep guide and have tried many techniques but were still experiencing a variety of issues including split nights with around 2 hours of wake time during the night, taking over an hour to settle at bedtime and also needing someone right next to her in order to fall asleep.

After joining a call with Lauren we were confident she would be able to help. We could tell Lauren really cares about each family that she helps - there have been occasions where we felt like giving up but after a quick message to Lauren we were soon back on track. Her knowledge and support is invaluable. Our nights are so much better, if our daughter wakes she is usually back to sleep within 5 minutes. We are also now able to leave the room at nighttime which is helping to build her independence. We are confident sleep will continue to improve.

We recommend reaching out to Lauren for any sleep issues.'

The Thomas Family, parents to Roman, 2YO: Speech and Language Delay/ Separation Anxiety

'Lauren McQuade at Ready Steady Sleep is a hidden gem.

We were put in touch with her services through a recommendation from our son's nursery and we have had amazing sleep results.

Our son started to have sleep issues after episodes of coughs and colds and hence requiring us to be with him during the night. Therefore, we were finding that he was taking a longer time to settle down for night time sleep, multiple night time wake-ups and early morning wake-ups. As a family, we were sleep deprived for a few months. We knew we needed professional advice.

Lauren contacted us immediately after being put in touch with Ready Steady Sleep. She is very professional and really understood and empathised with us. She provided us with a very detailed step by step sleep plan, which we implemented straight away and since then, we have observed positive sleep progression every night.

Lauren explained the reasons for the sleep issues, which really helped us to understand. She has provided us with plenty words of encouragement and praise, which has been fantastic and a real confidence boost during the sleep training.

Lauren has provided us with immense support through out and she is so prompt at replying to any of our trouble-shooting sleep issues. She has shown us that she genuinely cares about improving our sleep as a family.

We used to find the bedtime routine difficult but thanks to Lauren's sleep plan and valuable support, we are enjoying a more calmer bedtime routine, our son is learning good sleep habits and is now able to independently self soothe to sleep within 10 to 15 minutes as opposed to taking 45 minutes to 1 hour to go to sleep with a parent laying next to him before. There has been a significant reduction in night time wake-ups, from on average 5-6 times per night to 2-3 times per night in just a week of sleep training so far.

We highly recommend Lauren at Ready Steady Sleep to anyone who is facing sleep issues with their child.

Her approach is a gentle, nurturing and very effective in managing sleep issues.

Thank you so much Lauren, your support will always be cherished.'

Laura, parent to 6 YO Sammy: Autism diagnosis, ADHD and highly anxious

'We found Lauren after stumbling along one of her FREE Autism and Sleep masterclasses she was offering via social media for parents of children with additional needs. As a parent of an autistic child, there is limited support with managing sleep and so when I came across this class, I knew I had to attend. Lauren's masterclass was amazing and by the end of it, I knew we needed her support for Sammy. Lauren is highly experienced having worked as a teacher and within the SEND world for years we found out on the class, and this helped us to decide that she was the right fit for Sammy and us aa a family as she understood.

Lauren's 1:1 support has been incredible. We have gone from daily bedtime battles and meltdowns to a calm and tranquil bedtime that Sammy enjoys. Lauren helped us identify the causes of Sammy's anxieties and as a result, she now goes to bed feeling content and we get our evenings back!

Lauren has helped us improve our lines of communication with Sammy which has decreased her anxiety levels too at bedtime.

Sammy no longer needs us with her in her room to fall and stay asleep. She can do this independently and her night wakes have gone from every hour and split nights to solid chunks of sleep and a healthy bedtime!

We will forever be grateful...

Thank you Lauren'

'If you are a parent of an autistic child who struggles with managing their child's sleep, you need Lauren in your life!

Having her 1:1 support has been life changing for us. Lauren comes with a wealth of experience and is dedicated in her practice to improving parental wellbeing and autistic children's sleep.

My daughter has a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD and PDA, which made bedtime and night time sleep a battle every night. I was on my knees and exhausted, not knowing where to go next.

I had spent so much time investing in generic sleep courses for SEND children but I needed something tailored and bespoke for Neveah. That is when I came across Lauren and her services. I booked a FREE discovery call with her and during this call, I finally felt listened to and knew I had found the person who could help.

My husband and I felt reassured that Lauren knew how to help us and she provided us with the bespoke approach we needed for Neveah. Within two weeks of following her sleep plan with Lauren on hand every day supporting us, Neveah's bedtimes were so much calmer and enjoyable and we were able to have our evenings back; something we haven't had for 4 years.

Neveah is now sleeping in her own room during the night with  minimal night wakes - 1 or 2 at most. This is world's away from the 8+ waking's we were having and sleeping on the floor of her room just to try and get some sleep ourselves.

Thanks to Lauren, we have our life back.

She saved our wellbeing and our marriage and for that we can't thank her enough' xx

'I contacted Lauren when we tried, after years of difficult bedtimes, to get our ten year old to settle at bedtime on his own.

It was something we were really struggling with on our own, and we felt like we were in a hamster wheel, trying different things and ending up back where we started.

I had watched her webinar, and everything just clicked - I realised she knew exactly what we were going through and understood why our son was struggling so much with this.

Lauren was so supportive and insightful from the very beginning, after the initial discovery call I felt such relief that we were going to have a plan and personalised strategies to put in place for our son.

We had an in depth video call to discuss the plan which Lauren had prepared for us, and felt like we were a team together! We then went away on holiday, and trying to put the plan in place was a challenge, but Lauren was always on hand whenever we needed advice and reassurance, empowering us to just keep going.

4 weeks later, I can now say goodnight and leave the room, which was a far away dream a couple of months ago! Thanks so much Lauren, your expertise and empathy has been transformative for us!

I highly recommend contacting Lauren if you are having trouble with bedtimes for your little (or big!) one  in helping them settle and sleep better, and reclaim your evenings! x

'Lauren, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your support over the last few weeks.

When we started this journey I hardly dared hope that it might work because I was so tired after over a decade of 5am starts, but your practical, supportive and empathetic approach has made all the difference and Victor is now managing to sleep in for the first time in his life.

We are all feeling better for longer and better sleep! So thank you so much and will totally recommend you to other SEND families struggling with sleep.'
